Tim Cook is here! ‘Good morning!’ Apple is going to talk about three products today - iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods. This is going to be the first time Apple is going to announce new AirPods hardware at an event. First up is - Apple Watch. It’s video time. Apple Watch truly saves a lot of lives, and it is simply amazing. People sharing really moving stories about how Apple Watch saved their lives. The video is done, and now to the product. Apple Watch Series 8 - spoiler alert: it looks the same. Think Series 7, but newer. Swim proof, dustproof, and dust resistant. We’re having a hard time digesting this, really. New temperature sensor for women’s health. Huge addition. Series 8 features advanced cycle tracking for women. This is a giant leap in women’s health tracking, and the watch will give you estimates for ovulation and more. Apple Watch Series 8 can detect if you’re in a severe car crash. A new feature called Crash Detection. Massively improved sensors to detect an accurate car detection. All-day 18-hour battery life. Now features Low Power Mode to take battery life up to 36 hours. Midnight, Starlight, Silver, and Red in Aluminum finishes. Silver, Gold, and Graphite in Steel finish. Nike and Hermes options are also available. All Nike watch faces will be available across all devices, not limited to just Nike models. $399 for GPS and $499 for the cellular model. 3 months of Fitness+ is available for free. Available September 16th. Next up is - Apple Watch SE. Silver, Midnight, Starlight. S8 chip, the same as Series 8. This model is 20% faster than the previous SE model. Now $249 for GPS and $299 for cellular. Order today, and it will be available on 16th September. But wait, there’s another Apple Watch. Most likely the ‘Pro’ model. Apple Watch Ultra. It looks like an Apple Watch with a Spigen case on it. Don’t @ me. It is mega durable. New button on the side. Bigger Digital Crown. Better side button. Two speakers. 36 hours of battery life and up to 60 hours. This watch is going to split the room with its design. It’s clear that Apple is going after Garmin with this Apple Watch. L1+L5 GPS for accurate location tracking. Perfect for tracking inside dense cities. Built-in 86dB siren. It’s super obvious that this Apple Watch is not for the regular user unless you plan on wasting every single feature just to show off. 49mm Titanium case. This thing is definitely huge. 2,000 nits brightness. $799 - all models. Order today, it will be available on September 23rd. We were expecting at least $999, but $799 is not a bad deal at all. Can you set the new Action Button to do stuff like ordering food? Asking for a friend. Apple Watch lineup is announced and done. Next up - AirPods. Next-generation of AirPods Pro. The most advanced yet. Let’s see what it’s about. Brand new H2 chip - high bandwidth connectivity compared to H1. Better driver for improved sound. You can use the Face ID sensor on an iPhone running iOS 16 to create a custom profile of your ear. x2 better noise canceling. Adaptive transparency mode. Slot for a lanyard in the charging case. Up to 30 hours of listening. 6 hours on a single charge. $249. Order on 9th September. Next up is - iPhone. iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus. No mini this year. Same design as before. 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch. 1200 nits peak brightness. Ceramic Shield front glass. All-day battery life. iPhone 14 Plus has the ‘best ever battery life in an iPhone’. A15 Bionic - 5-core GPU that is 18% faster. The larger phone is going to appeal to a lot of people. Especially those switching from larger Android phones. 49% improved low-light capture using the main camera. 12-megapixel front-facing camera. Features auto-focus. Brand new Photonic Engine for improved low light photos. iPhone 14 features a new Action Mode for GoPro like video stabilization. All iPhone 14 models won’t feature a SIM tray in the United States. Crash Detection is available on the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus as well. The iPhone 14 works with satellite connectivity for emergency services. It’s called ‘Emergency SOS via Satellite’. This is insanely massive. It’s a huge technical challenge, but Apple has made it happen. This feature will be available in November and will be free for two years. iPhone 14 starts at $799 and iPhone 14 Plus for $899. Pre-order on September 9th. iPhone 14 Plus will be available in October. Next up is - iPhone 14 Pro lineup. Guys, it’s available in purple. This is the most genius use of a pill-shaped notch. Dynamic Island - this is what they’re calling the pill-shaped notch. You really have to see it once in order to get an idea of how this works. It’s not just a hole in the display at all. Buy the iPhone 14 Pro for Dynamic Island, nothing else. Why didn’t anyone else think of this? The new display is even better. 1600 nits of brightness. Thinner borders. Peak outdoor brightness of 2000 nits. Highest in any display. Always-on display. This display doesn’t turn off at all. It just dims down.
